Cardinal Care Group helps individuals and groups in the following three areas:

Spiritual Abuse Recovery

I offer lay counseling to those seeking to heal from spiritual abuse. I also offer peer support for church leaders and other ministers looking for help in navigating issues related to narcissistic pastoral abuse.

Spiritual abuse is what happens when a narcissistic, legalistic and/or unsafe religious leader spiritually, verbally and/or emotionally abuses those in his or her care under the guise of religion and in the name of God and/or spirituality. For almost a decade, I have supported and educated victims of destructive cults. I am trained in the area of helping with grief and loss in coaching.

Since 2010, I have helped those who have suffered from Calvary Chapel abuse and other legalistic church abuse. When it comes to severe cases of trauma, I can try to help find a medical professional who specializes in that area (please read my disclaimer on top of this page).

Marriage and Family Coaching

I provide certified coaching for marriage and family issues.*

I offer help and education for parents with sons or daughters involved with destructive cults.

I also offer support for parents of special needs and/or highly gifted kids, kids diagnosed with PANDAS and/or kids who have school refusal.

Women’s Coaching

Coaching for women’s empowerment and self-esteem, narcissistic relationship recovery, betrayal trauma from infidelity and estrangement, loneliness, social anxiety, depression coaching, toxic relationships, boundaries, emotional needs, etc.

*I specialize in lay counseling/coaching and am board certified in several areas of coaching with the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC; IBCC). I am pursuing a certification from Mayo Clinic in 2021. Coaching is a process of education, exploring new insights, goal-setting and achieving personal growth. I do not provide government-licensed medical care. I am neither a licensed doctor nor a licensed therapist. Visit this PAGE to be informed about the differences between a certified coach and a licensed healthcare worker. Please let me know if you are looking for a government-licensed therapist or a medical professional.

Confidentiality is very important to me.

In striving for excellence and to help benefit those I support, I am constantly investing time and resources in increasing my knowledge and effectiveness through continuing education, networking with professionals and pursuing further certifications. I enjoy staying current on scientific research and up-to-date mental health and wellness news. I recently received a graduate-level course certificate (Social Work Practice: Advocating Social Justice and Change) from the University of Michigan.
